35 Year Prison Sentence Handed Down To Man Who Shot And Killed Another Man In Fond du Lac

The man responsible for the killing a man in Fond du Lac in February of 2021 has been sentenced.

Denell Logan was convicted of 1st Degree Reckless Homicide and was sentenced to 35 years in prison Thursday, October 20, 2022, followed by 10 years of extended supervision.

Officers were called to the area of South Marr Street around 2 AM February 5th, 2021 for a report of a single-vehicle crash.

David Posey, who was driving the car, was found to be severely injured from the crash and had a gunshot wound in his leg. He was later pronounced dead at a hospital.

It was later determined that Logan had attempted to buy cocaine from Posey, when an altercation between the two broke out and Logan then shot Posey, who fled in his vehicle.

Callie Bender was convicted of buying Logan the gun that was used in the shooting and was sentenced to two years in prison.
