DHS Says Keep Up Masking Efforts
Dr. Ryan Westergaard with the Department of Health Services is calling on people to continue their efforts to curb the spread of COVID-19. This is after the CDC recommended that vaccinated people could relax their mask usage.
“When we do that we’re going to save people’s lives and it’s worth it for the foreseeable future until we get to the very, very low levels of transmission.”
Westergaard says that there’s still plenty of infections happening every day in Wisconsin, enough to show community spread, and that people need to protect those who cannot be vaccinated, and those who are susceptible to the virus.
