EAA 2021 Kicks Off Today

Another signature summer event makes its return this week, as the annual EAA AirVenture begins its week-long run in Oshkosh today.
After being forced to take a year off due to the pandemic, Dick Knapinski, Communications Director for EAA tells KFIZ News they’ve been doing a lot of work to make sure the 2021 AirVenture is another great event for all to enjoy.
“First of all, what could we carry over that we couldn’t do in 2020 that we could just move forward. Things such as the Air Force Special Operations, the Salute to the end of World War II, those types of things we could simply move forward into 2021. We got the OK’s from the people involved in that so they will be here.”
Knapinski says AirVenture will again feature daily afternoon air shows and two nighttime air shows on Wednesday and Saturday.
