Amber Alert Canceled, Baby Boy Found Safe

An Amber Alert issued Thursday involving a missing two-month old baby has been canceled.

Wisconsin Rapids Police say the baby boy was found safe, and the alert was canceled Thursday afternoon around 4:30 p.m. The suspect vehicle was seen traveling just outside of Wood County, with the baby found safe inside while two passengers in the vehicle were taken into custody.

The baby has a medical condition that requires medication taken throughout the day. The mother, Haley Pelot, had taken off late Wednesday afternoon and was thought to have fled with the baby, but without the medicine. The matter remains under investigation.
