Acuity Fund Grant Recipients Announced
The Fond du Lac School District Board of Education recently reviewed and authorized the annual Fond du Lac School District Acuity Fund grant recipients. The Fond du Lac School District Acuity Fund supports new and innovative programs and projects proposed by staff members for their students. The District Acuity Fund became possible via money earned on funds paid to the District by Acuity for naming rights of the Fond du Lac High School Fieldhouse. For the current school year, a total of $26,418.28 was available; $24,940.68 via the fund which is held for the District by the Fond du Lac Area Foundation and $1,466.60 which was donated by Board member Linda Uselmann.
The following Technology proposals were funded:
● iBand – Part 2 – Chris Barnes at Fond du Lac High School – $2,063.30
● SmartBoard for FHS Room 2690 – Erika Daleiden at Fond du Lac High School – $5,336.80
● Ozobot Classroom Experience – Gina Marchionda-Schneider at Lakeshore Elementary School – $800.00
● Imagine and Inspire with Cubelets Mini Makers Pack – Gina Marchionda-Schneider at Lakeshore Elementary School – $1,000.00
● Opportunities with Osmo – Heather Rathman at Riverside Elementary School – $1,023.32
● Mobile Recording Studios – Matthew Smith at Fond du Lac High School – $2,115.00
● Project Dash – Kaye Thiede at Waters Elementary School and Emily Howard at Lakeshore Elementary School – $749.95
The following Non-Technology proposals were funded:
● Coffee Shop – Kelly Auchue at FHS – WINGS Program – $2,500.00
● Marching Band Copyrights – Chris Barnes at Fond du Lac High School – $600.00
● Flexible Seating to Increase Student Engagement – Heather Branson at Woodworth Middle School – $609.19
● One School, One Book – Lisa Carns at Rosenow Elementary School – $1,200.00
● ErgoErgo Seats – Jodi Drake-Giebel at Riverside Elementary School – $338.58
● Sensory Station – Stacey Matuszewski at Pier Elementary School – $250.00

● Action-Based Creative Confidence Classroom – Tammy Mitchell at Roberts Elementary School – $1,000.00
● HOVR — Sit Down, Start Walking – Gina Rieder at Sabish Middle School – $1,134.75
● Desk Adaptations for Pier Elementary School – Kirsti Romenesko, Sheila Harper, and Jennifer Johnson in Pupil Services – $2,821.89
● Sand Tray Therapy Technique – Katherine Schoofs at Roberts Elementary School – $875.50
● Reading Area Seating – Kari Zehren and Leslie Manthey at Chegwin Elementary School – $2,000.00
