Agnesian HealthCare Welcomes Vascular Surgeon

Agnesian HealthCare welcomes Shahriar Alizadegan, MD, a vascular surgeon with the Medical College of Wisconsin who will practice full-time at Fond du Lac Regional Clinic, 420 E. Division Street, Fond du Lac.

Vascular surgeons specialize in surgery of the arteries and veins, and treat disease of the peripheral vascular system (diseases of blood vessels beyond the heart and brain).

Dr. Alizadegan joins Jennifer Burgess, APNP, a nurse practitioner in vascular surgery.

“I’m looking forward to bringing these new services to community in the area so individuals no longer need to travel,” says Dr. Alizadegan. “It’s so important to treat patients like a family member, and educate them on their health and how to best prevent vascular issues in the future.”

A graduate of the Tabriz University of Medical Sciences in Tabriz, Iran, Dr. Alizadegan completed a general surgery residency at the University of Illinois and Iran University of Medical Sciences, as well as his vascular and interventional radiology fellowship from the Medical College of Wisconsin. He is board certified by the American Board of Surgery.

In his free time, Dr. Alizadegan enjoys spending time with family, hiking, running and swimming.
