Antonio Johnston bound over for trial in murder of Tatyanna Zech

A teen suspected in the shooting death of a Fond du Lac girl and injuring two others last year has made his preliminary hearing in a Fond du Lac County courtroom Friday, February 23, 2024, almost a year after the incident occurred. The delay comes because 18-year-old Antonio Johnston was on the run for four months after the shooting, and then more time passed while the state attempted to find Johnston a defense attorney.

At the hearing, Johnston’s case was bound over for trial.

He was one of two suspects wanted in connection to a triple shooting on Fond du Lac’s south side after a cookout had taken place at the Maplewood Commons apartment
complex on May 7th of last year.
