Arrest made in arson fire at Fond du Lac High School

Fond du Lac Police have made an arrest in the arson case that involved a fire on the Fond du Lac High School grounds back in June of this year.

Police say that with the processing of evidence, looking at video surveillance as well as interviewing people close to the case, they were able to pinpoint down a suspect in the case.

A 16-year-old Fond du Lac man is now in custody for First Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, Felony Criminal Damage to Property, and Arson and he is currently being held at the Fond du Lac County Secure Detention Center.

On June 5, 2024, City of Fond du Lac Police and Fire/Rescue responded to a fire at an outdoor concession stand / restroom at around 3:30 PM.

Police Chief Aaron Goldstein said From the onset of this senseless and dangerous crime, Fond du Lac Police Detective Lee Mikulec worked tirelessly to ensure those involved would be held accountable.
