Authorities Investigating Death of a 5-Month-Old in Town of Calumet

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a 5-month old infant in the Town of Calumet.

According to a press release, Fond du Lac County Dispatchers received a 9-1-1 call just after 8:30 Monday morning for a report of a child that was not breathing and was not responsive.

The dispatcher began CPR instructions over the phone with the caller, while deputies from the Sheriff’s Office, along with Mount Calvary Ambulance and City of Fond du Lac Paramedics responded to the scene. Despite resuscitation efforts, the infant was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Sheriff’s Office Detective Bureau and the Fond du Lac County Medical Examiner’s Office are leading the investigation into the death. No further information is being released at this time.
