Baldwin declared winner over Eric Hovde in tight US Senate race

The race in Wisconsin’s US Senate election has been called and Tammy Baldwin has won her 3rd term in the position over opponent Eric Hovde.

Baldwin won the election by only about 30,000 votes which is less than 1% of total votes, so Hovde can request a recount if he pays for it. This was Hovde’s second attempt at the seat after running in 2012, when he lost to Baldwin who had won her first term at the time.
