Bay-Lakes Council Announces 33rd Annual Food Drive
The Bay-Lakes Council has announced its Scouting for Food Drive 2021. Scouts of all ages from the Bay-Lakes Council will distribute bags on Sat. April 10th and return to collect them beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Sat. April 17th.
The Scouts in the Bay-Lakes Council are working closely with Paul’s Pantry in Green Bay, St. Joseph Food Program in the Fox Cities, and the Sheboygan County Food Bank in Sheboygan to organize the drive. More than 100 parties in Eastern Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan will benefit from the food donations. These pantries depend on the drive to stock shelves and continue serving those in need. Suggested items include – Proteins – nuts, peanut butter, seafood & poultry; Fruit – dried or packed in juice; Soups – low sodium, if possible; Whole Grains – Pasta and Cereal; and Canned Vegetables of all kinds. Please – nothing perishable, frozen, or in glass containers.
The success of this event is due in large part to the generosity of families and community members, and by donating, lives are changed within the communities.
To donate simply fill the donation bag with non-perishable food items and put it on your doorstep by 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 17th for the Scouts to collect.
Major sponsors include – Paul’s Pantry in Green Bay, St. Joseph Food Program in the Fox Cities, and the Sheboygan County Food Bank in Sheboygan.
