Boat Crash Victims Identified

The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office is releasing the names of two women found dead after a boat crash on Lake Winnebago over the weekend. 26-year old Lauren Laabs and 20-year old Cassandra Laabs of Neenah were ejected from their boat after it collided with another boat around 8:30pm Saturday night – about a mile east of Paynes Point. A dog was also ejected from the boat, but did not survive. Two other people on their boat suffered serious injuries, while the two people on the other boat were treated on shore and released. The crash remains under investigation.
