Camelot Drive Parking Banned With Two Exceptions
The Fond du Lac City Council last night voted to prohibit parking on Camelot Drive with two notable exceptions. By a 5 to 1 vote the Council banned parking from Highway 151 to South Main Street. The exceptions will be on the west side from Knights Way south to the curve just before Society Insurance and on the east side near Ledgeview Pond. The spot near Ledgeview pond will be for a 2-hour limit except Saturdays and Sunday when you can park at any time. Councilwoman Catherine Block voted against banning parking saying there have been no reportable accidents because of the park and ride. Council President Sam Meyer (pictured) says he understands where businesses are coming from asking for the ban, but it is a good compromise. The City could revisit the issue after a park and ride is constructed in 2016 as part of the County Highway V and Highway 151 interchange project.
