Campbellsport Man Dies In Crash In Village

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office is saying a medical condition may have been the cause of a crash in Campbellsport Tuesday that claimed the life of a 77-year-old man.

At 3:46 PM, the Fond du Lac County Communications Center received a call that a pick-up truck had struck a parked vehicle in the 300 block of east Main Street and flipped on it’s side.

Responding emergency personnel found the driver, a 77-year-old Campbellsport man, pinned under the truck.

Once the man was removed from the truck, lifesaving efforts were performed and he was transported to SSM Health/St Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Assisting at the scene was Campbellsport Police Department, Campbellsport Fire Department, Campbellsport Ambulance, and a City of Fond du Lac Ambulance.
