DHS Urges Vaccinations For Kids Ages 5-11
The Wisconsin Department of Health Services would like to see kids ages 5 to 11 vaccinated against COVID-19 as soon as possible.
Chief Medical Officer Dr. Ryan Wetergaard said, “Getting your child vaccinated against COVID-19 not only helps protect them . . .but it also helps protect those around them. Their family, their friends, classmates and teachers. We are urging parents and guardians to get their children vaccinated as soon as they can.”
About a third of parents want to vaccinate their 5-to-11-year-old kids “right away,” according to a recent report from the Kaiser Family Foundation.
