DNR Prepared For Mass Testing Of Deer For CWD
As the Department of Natural Resources gears up for the 9-day gun deer hunt, they’re stepping up testing for Chronic Wasting Disease. Wildlife specialist Amanda Kamps says the easiest way to get your deer tested is to drop off the deer’s head at any collection point.
“We do have a map of available as well just to highlight where all those areas are, but of course any hunter that’s interested in getting their deer tested is able to do that just through a number of our CWD sampling options.”)
Kamps says those testing points are even outside of where the disease has been found in the state, just in case you want to be thorough with your deer meat. Find out more online at D N R dot W I dot Gov.
