Dodge County man dies almost a month after crash

The Dodge County Sheriff’s office has announced that a man involved in a motorcycle crash in their county in late September has died as a result of his injuries.

The crash, which occurred on Saturday, September 13, involved three vehicles at the intersection of County Highway A and County Highway W, in the town of Oak Grove, about 1.5 miles west of Juneau.

Initial investigation showed a pickup truck operated by an Oconomowoc woman, was southbound on A, waiting to making a left turn onto County Highway W. There was oncoming, northbound traffic slowing or stopped to make a left turn to go westbound when the motorcycle operated by 40-year-old Jason Fox, of Fox Lake, legally overtook the slowing/stopped traffic on the right. The pickup turned into the path of the motorcycle, which resulted in the two vehicles colliding. A third vehicle was struck after the initial collision.

Neither operator of the pickup or passenger car was injured.

Fox, was flown from the scene with suspected serious injuries, which at the time, were believed to be non-life-threatening. He succumbed to his injuries at the hospital Monday.

The crash and death remain under investigation by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office.
