Dodge County Sheriff’s Office Promotes Register of Deeds Land Notification Alert Program
The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office is encouraging residents to take advantage of a free property monitoring service offered through the Dodge County Register of Deeds.
The Dodge County Register of Deeds Land Notification Alert Program allows property owners to receive email or text notifications when documents are recorded that match a name, business name, or parcel number they choose to monitor.
The program is intended to help property owners stay informed about activity involving their property records and may assist in the early detection of unauthorized or fraudulent filings.
“One of the best ways to protect yourself from property-related fraud is to stay informed,” said Sheriff Dale J. Schmidt. “The Register of Deeds has made available a free tool that allows residents to receive notifications regarding activity involving their property records. We are simply helping spread awareness of this valuable service.”
The Land Notification Alert Program is administered by the Dodge County Register of Deeds and is available at no cost to Dodge County property owners.
