Fatal Pedestrian Accident In Washington County

A 37-year-old West Bend man was hit and killed by a driver in Washington County’s Town of Wayne early Sunday morning while he was walking on County Highway D. Sheriff’s officials say when deputies arrived a passing motorist had already stopped and had started to administer CPR. The 53-year-old Town of Trenton man who struck the victim with his vehicle returned to the scene and was arrested for homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle. The victim died at the scene. The Sheriff’s office had received a call at 2:38 a.m. reporting a man walking on the roadway.
