Harris And Feyen Face Each Other In State Senate Race

Mark Harris and Dan Feyen will face each other in the 18th State Senate Race in November. Harris defeated John Lemberger in the Democratic primary and says there’s still a lot to do before November. Feyen defeated Mark Elliot in the Republican primary. He says it was a good race, but he’s ready for Harris. Harris got 75 percent of the vote in his race and Feyen 56 percent.


Schneider Wins FDL County Treasurer Race

Less than 200 votes separated the candidates in the Fond du Lac County Treasurer’s race Tuesday. Brenda Schneider defeated Joan Rosenthal. Schneider says she appreciates the support. Rosenthal feels she ran a great race and got a lot of support. Schneider will be unopposed in November.



Krebs Unseats Kelly In Register Of Deeds Race

Fond du Lac County Deputy Register of Deeds Jim Krebs unseated incumbent Register of Deeds Shaw Kelly in yesterday’s primary for Register of Deeds. Krebs received 200 more votes. He will be unopposed in November. He says he appreciates all the help and support he got during the Republican primary. Kelly was appointed to the office in 2013 and was running for his first full-term as Register of Deeds.

Low Turnout For Election

Fond du Lac County Clerk Lisa Freiberg says there weren’t really any issues during the primary election. She says election equipment ran smoothly and results came in fast. She says with only 18 percent of registered voters in the County casting their ballots it was a low turnout. Freiberg and District Attorney Eric Toney both running unopposed for reelection got the most votes in the County with Freiberg receiving 5,835 and Toney 5,703.
