FDL County Sheriff’s Office Continues Search For Man Missing Since 1995
The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office is getting help from the FBI as they continue to investigate the disappearance of James Ruland, who was reported missing 25 years ago.
Ruland was last seen in October of 1995 in North Fond du Lac, and was reported missing a short time later. His car was found in November of that year at a truck stop parking lot – but no leads developed and his case remains unsolved.
Lieutenant Chris Randall with the Sheriff’s Office tells KFIZ News that the addition of Ruland to the FBI’s Missing Person’s list, paired with modern technology and social media – gives renewed hope that this cold case will be solved.
“So we are able to reach hundreds upon hundreds of law enforcement agencies as well as just members of the community and show them that we’re working on this yet and maybe will cause someone to call us and let us know they saw this, or they saw that.”
Anyone with information about the case can call Detective Nate LaMotte at 920-929-3377, or can leave an anonymous tip by calling 920-906-4777.
