FDL County Sheriff’s Officers looking For Vehicle Wanted For Eluding.

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a driver of a vehicle that led them on a chase through the southeast portion of the county this afternoon.
At around 12:20 PM a call came into the Fond du Lac County Communication Center of an SUV that was sitting near the road on County Highway F near Happy Road.
The plate given on the vehicle came back stolen.
As an officer approached, the vehicle took off.
Speeds in the pursuit reached over 100 mph as the chase wound through the area on County Highways F, W and V.
At one point the vehicle drove into a corn field and temporarily got stuck. At this point a passenger in the vehicle exited and was taken into custody as the SUV became unstuck and again took off.
The passenger identified the driver and it was known that the person had a warrant for their arrest in Washington County.
At this time it was also learned the driver had a gun on his lap during the chase.
The chase then entered the village of Campbellsport and drove into the High School parking lot prompting the sheriff’s office to advise the high school to go on a lockdown.
The vehicle left the high school and continued south on V when the officer pursuing lost site of it. Officers converging on the area looked for the vehicle but
couldn’t find it.
