FDL DPW Improvement Projects Reviewed
Street improvement projects and improvements at Lakeside Park are planned for next year. Fond du Lac Public Works Director Jordan Skiff recently reviewed the DPW’s 2018 Budget for the City Council. He also told them about some of their planned projects for next year. He says Fond du Lac Avenue will be improved from 6th Street to just north of the National Avenue intersection. Skiff says they will also budget $255,000 for designing a new intersection at County Highway V and National Avenue, which won’t be constructed for a couple years. South Main Street will be resurfaced from 6th Street to 21st Street. There are a couple things recommended by the Lakeside Park Exploratory Committee that they will also budget for. A splash pad will be added and the new pavilion at Lakeside Park will be designed. The splash pad will cost $200,000 and the pavilion design $100,000.
