FDL Police Investigating Shots Fired Report

Fond du Lac Police are investigating a report of gun shots being fired early Sunday morning.

According to a press release, officers were called to the area of Forest Avenue and south Military Road around 3:15 this (Sunday) morning, for a report of possible gunshots in the area.

Officers investigating the incident found shell casings in the road, and a nearby witness told police they saw a red, four-door vehicle make a U-turn at the intersection of Forest and Military, then the driver stuck a gun out of the window and fired a number of shots straight into the air as they drove off.

Police say they do not have a description of the driver, or the make or model of the suspect’s vehicle. No injuries were reported to law enforcement, or to any area hospitals because of the incident.
