FDLAAC Announces Top Ten Local News Stories Of The Year

The Fond du Lac Area Association of Commerce polled its members on the Top Ten Optimistic Local News Stories of the Year. Association interim President and CEO Tom Herre reviewed the list on KFIZ’s Breakfast Club. Coming in at number three was the opening of the new headquarters and research facility for Grande Cheese in Fond du Lac. Number two was the purchase of the Retlaw Hotel, which will facilitate over a $20 million renovation of the historic hotel. Herre says the number one optimistic story was the announcement of a Northwoods League baseball team, the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders, coming to Fond du Lac.
