Fire At East Second Street Home In FDL

Fond du Lac firefighters responded to a house fire at 313 East 2nd Street early Saturday morning. Fire Chief Peter O’Leary says when fire crews arrived there were heavy fire conditions in a second floor bedroom. The fire was extinguished, but there was damage to the structure and contents of the home. Two people were taken to the hospital for evaluation. The Red Cross provided the home’s residents with shelter assistance. Neighboring fire departments provided assistance battling the blaze. Police provided traffic control.
