Fire Damages Garage In Southwest Fond du Lac County

Fire departments in the southwest part of Fond du Lac County responded to a garage fire Monday, December 26, 2022.

At 12:15 PM, the Fond du Lac County Communications Center received a call from the homeowner at W13629 Marshview Rd in the Town of Alto advising of a fire in an attached garage of the residence.

Deputies with the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office responded along with fire departments from Brandon-Fairwater, Town of Alto, City of Waupun, City of Fond du Lac, and Lifestar EMS.

The fire, which is believed to have started from embers from burning materials outside, was quickly knocked down by responding fire fighters and only caused minor damage to the garage area.

There were no reported injuries and the fire does not appear to be suspicious.
