Fire damages house in Fond du Lac

The Fond du Lac Fire/Rescue Department were able to quickly stop a kitchen fire from spreading to the rest of a house Tuesday night, December 19, 2023, but not before the fire caused extensive damage to the kitchen and smoke damage throughout the house.

Just after 7:00 PM the department, along with Fond du Lac Police, were dispatched to 369 North St. for a report of a stove that blew up.

Upon arrival crews found fire showing from a first floor window and smoke coming from the rear of the building. All the homes occupants were able to make it out of the house prior to the fire department arriving. The Red Cross was contacted to assist the residents of the home.
