Fire Destroys Semi In Beaver Dam

Fire destroyed a semi-tractor trailer near Beaver Dam Wednesday morning. The incident occurred just after 9 a.m. on the Highway 151 off-ramp at County Highway A. The Piggly Wiggly semi – owned by Butera Trucking – was full of bails of cardboard boxes and pallets. The driver, Ryan McCoy of Sheboygan, was not injured. The fire resulted in closure of the right-hand lane and the ramp itself was closed for several hours. Beaver Dam Fire Chief Alan Mannel says the cause of the fire could not be determined.
