Fire Destroys Structure In Springvale

A structure fire on Hwy. 26 in the Town of Springvale brought out a number of area fire departments late Friday afternoon. Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Deputies received the call 4:38p.m. that 40 x 80 pole shed was on fire with the Rosendale Fire Department and First Responders arriving to find the building fully engulfed in flames.

The fire was quickly extinguished but the pole shed is considered a total loss. The shed contained two hay wagons and a corn planter, which were also destroyed in the fire. Early investigation shows that the fire was caused by burning grass along the exterior of the structure which then spread to the pole shed. It is not considered suspicious and no one was injured during the incident. Fire Departments from Lamartine, Eldorado, and Brandon-Fairwater assisted at the scene.
