Fond du Lac County Looks To Sell Northwoods Park
Fond du Lac County is selling one of it’s County Parks, though it really isn’t a park in the general sense.
Northwoods Park is a 30 acre plot of land comprised mostly of woods, surrounded by farmland and other wooded area that the county has owned and maintained since 1954.
It sits along State Highway 26, about three miles north of the village of Rosendale.
The land was recently appraised at $160,000 and the county will not entertain any offer below that amount. The county says it is up to the buyer to know any zoning ordinances, property taxes, utility service, building codes and local municipal assessments.
To bid on the property, prospective buyers need to fill out a form with their buying price and seal it in an envelope with 10% of the amount in the form of a certified check or a cashiers check.
The official form and more details can be found by visiting Fond du Lac County’s website at fdlco.wi.gov/ and looking under latest news.
