Fond du Lac County man seriously injured after fall from barn roof

On Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 3:11p.m., the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center received a 911 call from N4058 STH 49, located in the Township of Alto, of a male that had fallen from a rooftop and had severe facial injuries.

Deputies from the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office, along with Lifestar Ambulance initially were dispatched.

Once on scene, it was determined that a 38-year-old male was working on patching a hole on the roof of his cow barn when he fell through the roof, landing on concrete approximately 20ft below.

Due to the seriousness of the injuries, Flight for Life was requested to the scene.

Alto Fire Department was dispatched to assist with setting up a landing zone for the helicopter. Highway 49 was closed between Amity Rd. and County Highway AS for approximately 20 minutes for Flight for Life to land.

The male was flown by Flight for Life to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center – Neenah with serious injuries.
