Fond du Lac County Sheriff looking for one that got away… twice

On August 03, 2024 at approximately 7:03pm, a Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Deputy attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a motorcycle for a speed violation on Highway 175 northbound near Fox Ridge Drive in the Town of Fond du Lac.

As the Deputy attempted to catch up to the motorcycle, the suspect turned on to Highway 151 and increased its speed to 130 miles per hour on Highway 151 southbound. The Deputy did have his emergency lights and siren activated.

The suspect utilized a median crossover on Highway 151 to continue to evade the Deputy, and then continued on Highway 151 northbound and exited on to Hickory Street. The suspect continued on to Hickory Road southbound in to the Town of Byron with speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour.

The suspect was last seen on County B westbound approaching County D. The Deputy terminated the pursuit at Hickory Road and County B. The pursuit lasted approximately 6 miles.

A still shot of the motorcycle from the squad car dash camera is attached with this release. The motorcycle appears to be similar to a Yamaha MT-09, black in color with red accents and red/orange rims. The operator was wearing dark clothing, a dark colored helmet, and was wearing a backpack.

It is believed this motorcycle also eluded a Deputy at County F and County W in the Town of Eden around 1:00pm today.
