Fond du Lac Police investigate overnight stabbing
City of Fond du Lac Police are investigating a stabbing that occurred overnight, Wednesday, November 15, 2023.
Around 2:45 AM the Fond du Lac County Communications Center had a City of Fond du Lac Fire Rescue ambulance stage in the area for a report of a woman who was stabbed in the face at Maplewood Commons on the city’s south side.
It was unknown where the suspect had gone so police surrounded the area.
The victim was located by police and brought to an off site location where the ambulance then was able to asses the patient.
Police initially made contact with the suspect over the phone but where unable to determine where they were. Over time the suspect stopped communicating with police.
At just after 4 AM, officers were able to make phone contact with the suspect again and she stated she was in her apartment in the same building where the stabbing occurred and she stated she was going to come out and surrender which she did.
She requested an ambulance to bring her to the hospital to be checked out for a possible fractured rib.

Substantial Battery Investigation
Fond du Lac, WI: On, Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at approximately 2:43 a.m., the City of Fond du Lac Police Department responded to the 800 block of Martin Avenue for a report of a stabbing incident.
FDLPD learned that a 32-year-old Fond du Lac female entered the victim’s residence and physically assaulted her causing a laceration to her face. The 29-year-old Fond du lac female victim was transported to SSM Health (St. Agnes Hospital) with non-life-threatening injuries.
FDLPD Officers tracked the suspect down at her residence. FDLPD Officers negotiated with the suspect on the phone and through the closed door to the residence and eventually were able to take her into custody without further incident.
The 32-year-old suspect was arrested and transported to the Fond du Lac County Jail on charges of Substantial Battery and Criminal Damage to Property.
The investigation into the circumstances that led up to the stabbing is active and ongoing at this time. Both individuals are known to each other and this is an isolated act of violence.
The investigation into this incident is at the preliminary stages and remains under active investigation. No further details or information are being released at this time.
