Fond du Lac Police K-9 Finds Drugs In Vehicle

A City of Fond du Lac Police officer responded to a report of suspicious activity Saturday just before 1 PM in a business parking lot in the 400 block of west Johnson Street.

The reporting person advised the Fond du Lac County Communications Center that two people parked in a vehicle may be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

A positive open-air search by Fond du Lac Police K-9 officer Jesus with handler Officer Ben Hardgrove allowed for a search of the vehicle where officers found methamphetamine, fentanyl, cocaine, pills, and drug paraphernalia.

A 41-year-old male and a 22-year-old female both from Fond du Lac were arrested for possession of the drugs as well as possession of illegally obtained prescriptions, and possession of drug paraphernalia and were held at the Fond du Lac County jail.

The Fond du Lac Police Department says this was a perfect example of a see something say something situation and reminds everyone
to stay vigilant of their surroundings.
