Fond du Lac To Hold Public Input Meeting Regarding Riverfront and Downtown Area

The City of Fond du Lac will be hosting a public input meeting regarding long-term improvements along the Downtown Riverfront and the North Main Street Corridor tonight, November 28, 2022.

As part of continued efforts to enhance the quality of life and being an attractive place to live, work and play, the city is looking for opportunities to enhance and utilize the Fond du Lac River and the North Main Street corridor from the downtown area to Lakeside Park.

For the riverfront portion, The city is partnering with MSA Professional Services to lead the planning effort.

MSA will present work completed to-date prior to facilitating small group discussions with residents to discuss opportunities for improving the riverfront.

For north Main Street, Stations will allow participants to identify issues and opportunities along the North Main Street corridor, as well as reactions to consultant-identified redevelopment priorities.

Both plans will serve as a guide for making public improvements, supporting positive redevelopment projects and establishing an implementation plan to move each corridor closer to the desired visions.

The meeting will take place from 6:00-7:30 p.m. at the Senior Center located at 151 E. 1st Street.
