Food Drive Benefits Fondy Food Pantry
Twenty-four crates of non-perishable food items were collected during the Opening Day for staff of the Fond du Lac School District. It was the third or fourth year for the effort that came out of an idea one of the teachers had. District Superintendent Jim Sebert says the food drive benefits the Fondy Food Pantry. The pantry’s Food for Thought program provides bags of foods on weekends for some of the neediest kids in the district. He says pantry also partners with the district during the Summer School program.
