Former Waupun Correctional Guard Sentenced

A former Waupun Correctional prison guard is sentenced to ninety days in jail herself for smuggling contraband into the facility. 24-year old Melissa Fiedler entered a guilty plea to a felony count of Delivering Illegal Articles to an Inmate. She also entered a deferred prosecution agreement to a felony count of Second Degree Sexual Assault by Correctional Staff. The inmate was found to be in possession of a cell phone – which had several explicit texts from Fiedler. She initially denied accusations, but later admitted to her actions.
