Gives Kids A Smile Provided Free Dental Care

The oral health program coordinator for the Fond du Lac County Health Department is pleased with the participation in the recent Give Kids a Smile event. Sam Twohig says they try to be flexible with the program. She says this year 42 children got free dental care from five different providers and their staff. She says a number of dentists already participate in the Save A Smile program which provides care to children on medical assistance. She says a large number of dental offices work on that dental program so the work they get out of dental providers for Give Kids a Smile is above and beyond that. She says so many dentists do donated care on their own as well.
