High Wind Warning In Effect For Eastern Wisconsin

The National Weather Service has issued a High Wind Warning for Fond du Lac County Saturday, November 5, 2022, starting at 7 AM and going through 9 PM tonight.

The warning means that sustained south winds of 20-30 mph may be happening with gusts as high as 60 mph.

According to forecasts , the windiest times will likely be from 2-6 PM.

The weather service warns that with recent rains, the ground may be saturated allowing for trees to be blown over more easily.

Also people driving high profile vehicles such as semis and vans may have trouble maintaining control on east/west roads.

The winds are part of a large trough of low pressure intensifying to our southwest that will pass over Wisconsin later today.

The massive storm system is also responsible for a tornado outbreak in Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas yesterday where as many as 18
tornadoes touched down.
