Hunting Accident In Sheboygan County

On Sunday, November 24, 2013, at approximately 1000 hours,
the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office received a cellular 911 call.  The caller reported that a 52 year old Cascade
man had been accidently shot in the back of a leg while deer hunting in a
stand.  The incident occurred in the Town
of Lyndon, an area described as a half mile west of Cth E and south of Cth U. 

 

Cascade First Responders, Cascade Fire Department, Plymouth
Ambulance Officers of the Sheriff’s department, and Department of Natural
Resources were dispatched to the scene.  Responders
were assisted by the hunting party. 

 

Once the victim was located by responding services, the
victim was transported out of the hunting area using the Cascade Fire
Department 6×6 vehicle.  He subsequently was
transported to Aurora Medical Center in Grafton.  The injuries do not appear life threatening
at this time. 

 

The investigation is ongoing and will being completed by the
Department of Resources.  All further
information will be released by that agency.
