Hwy. 26 Pursuit Ends With FDL Man In Custody

An early Tuesday (8/3/2021) morning pursuit in Fond du Lac County ends with multiple arrests. 

Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Deputies attempted to stop a vehicle Tuesday morning at 1:35 a.m. for a speeding violation. The vehicle was located on Hwy. 26 near Hwy. 23 in Rosendale. Once the traffic stop was attempted, the suspect vehicle increased its speed and failed to pull over. The vehicle continued for approximately 3 miles before it pulled over.

All 5 occupants of the vehicle were taken into custody without incident. The driver was identified as a 21-year old male from Fond du Lac. He is being cited for speeding and is being criminally charged with eluding and possession of THC (marijuana). The four passengers were released from the scene.

Assisting with the pursuit were Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office and Wisconsin State Patrol. There were no injuries or property damage as a result of the pursuit.
