Intersection of Military and Hickory to close for construction

The City of Fond du Lac Department of Public Works is closing the intersection of South Hickory Street and South Military Road starting this Thursday, August 22, 2024. The intersection will close at 7 AM and remain closed for the remainder of the South Military Road Reconstruction Project which is set to go through November.

The closure will be in place to allow the contractor to install new underground utilities, replacement of traffic signals, and all associated work related to reconstruction of the intersection.

Two blocks of South Military Road north of the intersection has been closed since July as part of the project. A signed detour will be in place.
