Interstate 41 Construction To Begin Monday In Fond du Lac County

Construction will begin Monday August 15th on Interstate 41 between Highway 151 and
the south county line.

Work will include milling and paving the highway and ramps at the County B interchange. Replacing beam guard, and median cable guard, grading the median, spot grading the side slopes and repairing joint separation on culverts.

The highway will remain open, with lane closures during construction.

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation said the project will address minor deformations and cracking in the pavement surface which will reduce surface roughness and provide a smoother driving surface for motorists. Resurfacing will also increase the roadway useable lifespan. New beam guard and cable guard will help mitigate possible serious crashes.

The $8.5 million project is expected to finish in November.
