It’s June! What can we expect for weather?

We’re into June which is the start of meteorological summer.

Normal highs for the month start out at 72 on the first and only climb to 79 by the end of the month. Average lows drop to 53 on the first and also raise up to 60 by the 30th.

Our record high was 104 degrees set on June 1st of 1934 and the lowest temperature was 29 set on June 4th of 1945.

We average 4.3 inches of precipitation in June and no surprise, that’s all rain as it has never snowed in Fond du Lac in June since records have been kept, though that record low of 29 shows it could happen.

The record for the most rainfall in a day happened on June 12th of 2008 when just over four inches fell. Areas of the city had widespread flooding problems on that day, and the month with the most rainfall was also 2008 when 9.3 inches of rain fell.
