Michigan State 67. Wisconsin 59
–Ethan Happ posted another double-double of 20 points and 12 rebounds, but it was the Spartans who came out on top as Michigan State outscored the Badgers 30-21 in the second half to pull out the win in Madison. The Badgers were behind by one at 57-56 with 5:20 left to play, but the Spartans closed the game on a 10-3 run to end the game. Wisconsin drops to 9-5 in conference, 17-8 overall. They are off until Monday when they host Illinois.

Penn State 75, Michigan 69
Big East:
Marquette 92, DePaul 73
–Markus Howard scored 36 points as the Golden Eagles completed the season sweep of the Blue Demons. Marquette is 10-2 in Big East play, 21-4 overall and will host Butler one week from today.
CBB News:
A Marian Men’s and Women’s Basketball doubleheader will be played tonight on campus. The Sabres’ men’s basketball game against Concordia-Chicago was postponed from Tuesday night to tonight because of Tuesday’s snowstorm. The men will play CU-C at 5 pm tonight, with the regularly scheduled Marian women’s game against Dominican to follow at 7 pm. The Sabre men’s team will now play three games in four days – with tonight’s contest, a game tomorrow against Aurora and a game Saturday at MSOE to close out the regular season.
NBA:
The NBA-leading Bucks play the Pacers tonight in Indiana. Milwaukee won at Chicago on Monday and is 42-and-14 on the season, one game ahead of Toronto for the lead in the East. Indiana has won six straight and is four-and-a-half games back in third. Coverage starts at 5:30, tipoff at 6 on News/Talk 1450
MLB:
The Brewers begin spring training today as pitchers and catchers report to Arizona. The first formal workout takes place tomorrow. Position players for the defending NL Central champs begin workouts next week. Exhibition play starts February 23rd with the Brewers taking on the Chicago Cubs.
The Brewers and the rest of Major League Baseball will celebrate the 150th anniversary of pro baseball on Opening Day. All 30 clubs will wear a MLB 150 sleeve patch on March 28th to recognize the 150th anniversary of the 1869 Cincinnati Red Stockings.
NFL:
The NFL combine will be televised on broadcast TV for the first time. ABC will be presenting a two-hour special on March 2 from Indianapolis that will feature drills by quarterbacks and wide receivers. The combine workouts run from March 1-4 and also will be televised by NFL Network.ABC also will combine with ESPN to televise all three days of the draft April 25-27 from Nashville.
College Hockey:
Marian University junior Hunter Vorva has earned NCHA Defensive Player of the week for the third time this season. Vorva earned the honor after posting a 2-0 record, 1.47 goals-against average and .953 save percentage as Marian wrapped up second place in the division standings. Vorva recorded 61 saves on the weekend, with 30 coming in Friday’s win over St. Scholastica and another 31 saves recorded in an overtime win against Northland College on Saturday. Marian hosts the opening round of the NCHA Harris Cup Playoffs this weekend
