–Markus Howard scored 32 points to help the Golden Eagles snap a four-game losing streak. Marquette travels to St. John’s on Saturday.

Big Ten:

Penn State 74, Maryland 70

Ohio State 64, #3 Purdue 63

–The Buckeyes snap Purdue’s 19-game win streak in West Lafayette and move back into a tie for first place in the Big Ten.

Purdue wasn’t the only top-ten team to fall last night. Shamorie Ponds scored 26 points and St. John’s followed Saturday’s upset of Duke by surprising #1 ranked Villanova, 79-75 and Duane Wilson made one of two free throws with four seconds left to lift Texas A&M to an 81-80 upset of No. 8 Auburn.

Tonight, Wisconsin looks to complete the season sweep of Illinois as the two teams match up in Champaign. The Badgers beat Illinois by 25 points, 75-50 at the Kohl Center on January 19th, but have since lost five in a row and eight of nine. Illinois meanwhile is 2-2 in their last four games, and is coming off a 75-67 loss to Ohio State on Sunday. The Badgers are 3-9 in conference and 10-15 overall, while Illinois is 2-9 in conference and 12-12 overall. We’ll join coverage in progress tonight on KFIZ following High School Basketball.
