–Anthony Rendon drove home both runs in the game for the Nationals as they bested the Brewers in game one of their weekend series in Washington D.C. Rendon’s run-scoring double in the eighth inning broke a 1-1 tie and ended up being the winning run. Orlando Arica clubbed a solo home run in the third inning for Milwaukee’s only run of the game. The Brewers stranded 13 runners on base – and went 2 for 10 with runners in scoring position. Adrian Houser tossed seven strong innings for the Brewers, allowing a run on two hits, but did not factor into the decision. Game two of the series is tonight – Jordan Lyles starts for the Brewers against Anibal Sanchez of the Nationals. Coverage starts at 5:30, first pitch at 6:05 on KFIZ.
