–Zeb Adreon had a pair of hits, while Tim Elko drove in two runs as the Dock Spiders took down the Jackrabbits on Thursday night in Kokomo. Fond du Lac built a 6-1 lead through four innings, but would not score again in the game and held off a rally from Kokomo to secure the win. The two teams play again tonight, first pitch is 6:05 PM. –Matt Chapman’s two-run home run in the eighth inning off of Josh Hader helped the A’s pick up a series win over the Brewers Thursday afternoon in Oakland. Hader’s blown save is his third of the season and second of this series, after Oakland won in walk-off fashion off of Hader on Tuesday night. Christian Yelich extended his hitting streak to a career-high 19 games with a double in the seventh inning. The Brewers head to Chicago for a three game series starting today – Zach Davies gets the start for the Brewers against Jose Quintana for the Cubs. NFL:
It’s the annual Packers Family Night tonight at Lambeau Field. The team will hold workouts and practice in the stadium in front of fans. The action gets underway at 7:30 tonight – with TV coverage on the Packers statewide TV Network. The team will not practice tomorrow, but will return to work on Sunday at 10:15 AM at Ray Nitschke Field. Monday begins joint practices with the Houston Texans leading up to next Thursday’s preseason opener.

The Wisconsin football team is one of seven teams from the Big Ten ranked in the preseason USA Today/Amway Coaches Poll that was released Thursday. The Badgers are ranked #17 to begin the season in the coaches poll, ahead of three fellow Big Ten teams – Iowa (19th), Michigan State (20th) and Northwestern (25th), but below three other conference foes – Ohio State (5th), Michigan (7th), and Penn State (14th).
Defending National Champion Clemson holds the top spot, with Alabama second, Georgia third and Oklahoma fourth.
