Last Of 15 People Involved In Multi-Million Dollar Cocaine Ring Convicted

A long term project for the Fond du Lac County District Attorney’s Office involving 15 people involved in a drug distribution ring has finally been concluded with the conviction of the last person involved.
Lateef Strong was found guilty yesterday in Fond du Lac County Circuit Court after a four day trial where he was accused with conspiracy to deliver over 40 grams of cocaine,
a class C felony. Strong was part of a cocaine distribution ring responsible for delivering over 96,000 doses of cocaine totaling 127 pounds of cocaine, worth $9.6 million dollars.
The case dates back to 2018 and was investigated by the City of Fond du Lac Police Department with assistance from the Lake Winnebago Area Metropolitan Drug Unit, Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office, and the DEA. The prosecution team was led by Assistant District Attorney Amber Hahn with assistance from Assistant District Attorney Curtis Borsheim and was spearheaded by former Deputy District Attorney Dennis Krueger before he passed away in 2018.
Strong faces up to 65 years in Prison.
